CalPERS Headquarters Expansion

Working with design architect Pickard Chilton, MCM served on this 1.1 million sq. ft. development with a $4.5 million millwork package. A LEED Gold certified project, it included architectural millwork, architectural panels, casework, office furniture in two U-shaped buildings of four stories and six stories, the latter featuring an exquisite six story atrium. The new headquarters covered two full blocks of downtown Sacramento across from the original two-square-block headquarters building.

Green finish materials include bamboo flooring, recycled-content carpet, regionally manufactured materials, and FSC-certified wood paneling, doors, and work surfaces. The scope also included one of the biggest wall paneling projects completed in North America with over 80,000 sq ft of paneling. This is a fact that we at MCM are very proud of.
