Wherever possible, we utilize FSC certified woods and cores into our products.
• All MCM used paper, cans and cardboard are sent to a local recycling plant. The plant employs handicapped persons so they can contribute to saving the environment and become important members of our community
• Recycled materials are used for packaging our finished product.
We also utilize reusable padded packing blankets to protect our product
during shipping.
• Professionals dispose of our liquid and dry waste derived from our
finishing processes in an environmentally friendly application.
• Our internal systems controlling all VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)
meet and exceed acceptable limits outlined by Environment Canada and are
reported annually.
• Waste wood is used to heat our building instead of disposing of
it into the local landfill, conserving on other heat resources.
• We have implemented LEAN manufacturing, extensive quality control
techniques and invest in state-of-the-art machinery in order to reduce time,
material and waste.
• The adhesives we use are water-based with low VOCs and are moisture-resistant.
• Our finished products are cleaned with “Simple Green”,
an environmentally friendly cleaning product.
